Calvary Presbyterian Church of Detroit is celebrating its 2nd annual Juneteenth Community Celebration Saturday, June 18th from 11am – 5pm. This event celebrates liberation from human enslavement through worship with guest speaker Rev. Dr. James Terrell Thomas, musical and African dance performances, mental health and motivational speaking, food, vendors, and kid zone activities. Vendors will be hosted under a tent on church grounds at the intersection of 7 Mile and Greenview and are welcome to register by June 10th. Vendor registration is $25 which includes a table and two chairs. All are invited to come celebrate as we remember our history and revel in our unique African and African American culture.
